Loon Choir are an Ottawa based band formed in the early stages of 2009. The six piece indie-folk-rockers are comprised of Child youth worker Derek Atkinson ( vocals, guitar, violin ); Carleton University English grads Brad Sheffield ( keys, guitar ), Nicole Yates ( vocals, keys, guitar ) and Dan Larmour ( guitar, keys ) and Computer specialists Khary Byron ( drums ) and Jamie LeClair ( bass ). Musical History:
Longtime songwriting partners Sheffield & Atkinson have been involved in a number of projects together; most recently Capital Hearts with fellow loon Nicole Yates. Byron & LeClair are currently involved in a project with singer/songwriter/rocker Matthew Clare in a band called Screamin' Fists. Clare also moonlighted with Atkinson and Sheffield's former band The Art Burn.
